Dear Friends in Scouting and in Guiding in Europe,
Following the approval of WOSM Conference Resolution 24ESC-04 and WAGGGS Conference Motion M_EGC_02 (as amended) during the recent 24th European Scout Conference and the 17th European Guide Conference, respectively, the Europe Region WAGGGS and the European Scout Region of WOSM are pleased to share with you this Joint Open Call for Volunteers to Join the Azimuth Team, which is a Joint Working Group.
What is Azimuth?
The jointly managed exchange platform Azimuth offers a safe virtual space for Scouts and Guides, who are interested in experiencing international Guiding or Scouting in any form, to search for offers to participate in international Scouting or Guiding events, pitch their tents at a campsite abroad, visit or volunteer at a new Guide or Scout Centre or a base, join in someone’s idea for a great adventure together and so much more. Azimuth allows creating posts with ideas, events, places etc. which Guides and Scouts from abroad may want to hear about. Simply get in touch with anyone via the Azimuth platform and get your next international Scouting or Guiding adventure going right now!
An introductory webinar to the Azimuth platform will be held on 29 November 2022 at 18:00 CET. You can register for the webinar here.
The Azimuth Team
The Azimuth Team is responsible for the daily management and administration of the Azimuth platform, responds to the requests and queries from the users and proposes development improvements to expand their capacities.
Check the annexed Job descriptions (Job Description Azimuth Team Member, Job Description Azimuth Team Lead) to have a better overview of what are the expected roles and responsibilities as well as the required profile for the positions.
How to apply
If you are interested in becoming part of the Azimuth Team, please send to europe@scout.org AND europe@wagggs.org your Scouting/Guiding resumé together with a motivation letter underlining how your profile fits the requirements of the Job Description and your potential interest in leading the team.
